Kimberlee Gerstheimer

Kimberlee Gerstheimer received her MFA in Dance (Rutgers University), Masters in Social Work (Adelphi University), and BA in Dance (Hofstra University).  Kimberlee has a comprehensive Pilates certification and is a Registered Somatic Dance/Movement Educator through ISMETA.  She is currently an Adjunct Associate Professor in Dance at Ocean County College.  Previously, she has taught at Rutgers University as well at numerous community arts organizations and studios during her twenty years of teaching dance.  Kimberlee carefully crafts her teaching philosophy around empowerment through movement using her experiences in dance, somatics, and social work.  Kimberlee’s choreography and screen dances have been viewed at national film festivals and she co-produced the interdisciplinary arts festival Behind Closed Doors in 2021.  Kimberlee always seeks to create an environment where people can grow and feel empowered to believe in themselves, their body, and the power of the arts.
