What ages do you offer dance classes for?

Dancation Studio offers dance classes for ages 2-18, with occasional adult classes offered throughout the year.

What styles of dance do you offer?

We offer ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, acro, and lyrical classes for a variety of ages and levels.

Do you offer trial classes?

Yes. New dancers are welcome to try all open classes in their age group within one week to make sure it's the right fit before enrolling.

How do I register for classes?

Registration can be completed online by clicking one of our register buttons throughout the website. If you need help selecting a class, our staff is happy to assist.

Can beginners start dance at any age?

Yes! Many dancers begin with no experience, and our classes are designed to support dancers at every stage of their training.

Do you offer advanced classes?

Yes. Dancation Studio offers advanced classes for dancers who are ready for more challenging training.

Does my child have to compete to dance at Dancation Studio?

No. The majority of our dancers participate in recreational classes and do not compete. We offer both recreational and competitive programs so families can choose the level of commitment that works best for them.

Do you have a competition team?

Yes. Dancation Studio offers a competition team for dancers looking for additional training and performance opportunities.

How does my dancer join the competition team?

Auditions for Dancation Studio's competitive programs begin in April and go into mid July. Families interested in learning more are welcome to attend an informational meeting or contact the studio.

What is the difference between recreational and competition classes?

Recreational classes focus on learning technique, building confidence, and enjoying dance. Competition dancers take additional classes and represent the studio at regional competitions during the season.

When does your dance season run?

Our main season runs from September through June, with a smaller summer session offered each year.

Can dancers join after the season starts?

Yes, registration is ongoing for class participation as long as there is space available in the class.

Do dancers perform in a showcase?

Yes. Our annual showcase takes place at the end of the season and gives dancers the opportunity to perform on stage for their families.

Is the showcase required?

Participation is encouraged but optional.

Do dancers need a costume for the showcase?

Yes. Each class has a costume that is ordered during the season for the showcase performance.

Is there a cutoff to be part of the showcase?

Yes. Showcase participation does have a cutoff and depends on costume availability as well. Showcase cutoff is the end of February.

Do tickets need to be purchased for the showcase?

Yes. All attendees must purchase a ticket to the showcase.

How is tuition billed?

Tuition is due monthly and can be paid by cash, checks made payable to Dancation Studio or Zelle payments sent to [email protected]. We recommend scheduling your payment via Zelle, so you are automatically set.

What is your makeup class policy?

Unlimited makeup classes are available if a dancer misses their regular class.

Do you offer refunds?

Tuition, costume and ticket payments are non-refundable.

What makes Dancation Studio different?

Our teachers and staff are committed to continuous growth. Throughout the year, our team participates in weekly and monthly training, industry seminars, quarterly conferences, business education, and professional development in dance instruction. This ongoing education allows us to stay current with the best teaching methods and provide the strongest training possible for our dancers.

We are also proud to be a family focused studio. We believe dance should support a child’s overall development, while still allowing kids to enjoy being kids and families to maintain balance with school, activities, and time together.

Our music, choreography, and costuming are always chosen with families in mind, ensuring that everyone presented on stage is age appropriate. We are cmmitted to creating a studio environment where dancers can grow in skill and confidence while families feel comfortable and proud of what their children are learning and performing.
