Join the Dancation Competition Team
At Dancation Studio of Dance & Theatre, our Competition Team gives dancers the opportunity to grow, perform, and represent our studio at regional competitions throughout the season.
Our team is designed for dancers who are passionate about dance and want to take their training to the next level in a positive, supportive environment. Competition dancers receive additional training and build strong friendships while working toward shared goals.
Audition Timeline
Auditions will begin in the spring and continue through July.

Summer Intensive
Our Summer Intensive in July is important part of preparing for the upcoming competition season. Team dancers will have technique classes as well as competition chreography during this time

Does my dancer need previous competition experience?
No. Most of our company dancers began in our recreational classes and later auditioned for the competition team.
Can dancers from other studios audition?
Yes, we absolutely welcome dancers who currently train at other studios and are interested in joining the Dancation Competition Team. Whether your dancer is new to the area, looking for a new studio home, or a different competitive experience, we encourage them to attend our auditions and see if Dancation is the right fit.
What age can audition?
We have 4 competitive programs, for ages 4-18.
What styles do competition dancers perform?
Competition dancers may perform a variety of styles including jazz, lyrical, tap, musical theatre, modern, hip hop and more.
How many competitions are there each year?
Our team typically attends 3 regional competitions each season. Exact events are announce in August/early September.
